Our First Market of the Season Was A Resounding Success!

Last week, we kicked off our market season, and it was an incredible start to the season! The energy was palpable, and it was wonderful to see so many neighbors enjoying the vibrant atmosphere.

One of the big highlights was our newest bread vendor, who completely sold out of their amazing fresh flavors. I was lucky enough to snag their very last loaf of everything sourdough bread, and I’m so glad I did! It has made the best toast and sandwiches all week. If you missed out, mark your calendars – they’ll be back on the 21st!

Jodikinos truly outdid themselves, bringing a bounty that extended beyond just fresh produce. Their tables were overflowing with gorgeous fresh flowers and fragrant herbs, adding even more color and aroma to the market.

And for those who came hungry, there was no shortage of delicious hot food! Athenian Home Flavors, Kashbah, and PGH Crepes were all on hand, serving up their fantastic dishes.

Now, we’re thrilled to be heading into our second week of the market this Saturday in Swissvale and we’re looking forward to another fantastic day filled with fresh and exciting options!

Get ready for another round of deliciousness! Athenian Home Flavors and Pgh Crepes will be back with their mouthwatering hot food. For a refreshing pick-me-up, be sure to stop by Micole Matcha.

We’ll have a wonderful selection of fresh produce and meats from Jodikinos, Chaganra Farm, and H3art Farms, ensuring you have the best ingredients for your week ahead. Bonesetter Nursery will also be joining us with their beautiful plants.

We’re also happy to welcome back Sweets to Eat Bakery, Sarah’s Sweets, Suga Plum Sweets, and Sweet Addictions, guaranteeing a delightful array of treats to satisfy your sweet tooth.

Connecting with the community is important to us, and we’ll have representatives from Food & Water Watch, The Swissvale Mile, Upstream and Pittsburgh Regional Transit available to share information. And of course, you can find unique items from Offroute Art.

To top it all off, we have some fantastic live music lined up! Start your morning with the tunes of Chris Leone & the Spurs of the Moment at 9 am, followed by the wonderful sounds of Ronni Weiss at 11 am.
