It’s fall! With the fall equinox last Monday, September 22, we are now officially in PSL season. I won’t lie, I’ve been a Pumpkin Spice Latte stan in a previous chapter of my life. I’ve since moved forward into making my own delicious fall beverages, treats and more!

As the leaves begin to turn and a crispness fills the air, our thoughts naturally drift to cozy evenings, warm drinks, and hearty, flavorful meals. And what better way to celebrate the bounty of autumn than with fresh, locally sourced ingredients from your own local Swissvale Farmers Market? We’re thrilled to highlight some incredible produce and products from our amazing vendors this season, and inspire your fall cooking adventures!
When it comes to comforting fall meals, quality ingredients takes it to the next level. Chaganra Farms brings you ethically raised, grass fed and finished, delicious meats that are perfect for stews, roasts, and everything in between. Imagine these dishes gracing your table:
- Rosemary and Thyme Roasted Chicken (or Turkey) with root vegetables.
- Brine your chicken from Chaganra Farms, seasoned with local herbs (which you can pick up from H3art Farms) and roasted in a cast-iron Dutch Oven (or any pan, that’s just my preference) over your favorite vegetables, carrots, potatoes, and parsnips. (Jodikinos has them in stock!)

- Maple Roasted Pork Tenderloin with Fall Veggies.
- Grab your pork loin from Chaganra Farms, Maple Syrup from the market tent, and produce from Jodikinos to create this delicious fall-inspired roasted pork tenderloin! This is super simple, but screams crisp air and falling leaves.
